The volunteer opportunities listed below are available year-round and can be performed by individuals or in groups.

Most centers are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at seven separate locations in the Cleveland area.

Craft Class Teacher

This volunteer would plan, teach and assist with a unique craft for a group of enthusiastic older adults once per week. The class would include different skill levels and incorporate of different materials.

Musical Entertainment

This volunteer could include playing different instruments for a holiday party, school bands, gospel choir groups, playing the piano, singing songs from previous eras, karaoke & many more. We are always looking for local entertainment! Instruments will not be provided by the senior center.

Therapy Animal

Bring your certified therapy animal to visit our older adults! Therapy animals are great resources to reduce stress and bring joy to older adults. *Pet must be certified

Bingo Caller

This volunteer would assist our committed bingo players in calling numbers, checking cards and having a great time!

Intergenerational activities

This volunteer group would be school-aged children interested in learning, interacting and having fun with older adults. This position would most likely be incorporated into our seasonal parties, ensuring a fun, relaxed environment for all ages!

Kitchen Assistant

This volunteer would help the kitchen staff with delivering/serving meals to older adults, taking out the garbage, and delivering newsletters to participants.

Front Desk Attendant

This volunteer would assist the staff by ensuring the older adults sign-in, record cancellations and walk-ins for lunch, and serve as a welcoming face to those entering the center.

Exercise Instructor

This volunteer would lead an exercise class of their specialty to the older adults in a group setting. Some examples of classes include, Yoga, Tai Chi, Jazzercise, Zumba Gold, and Line Dancing. Certification is preferred, but not required.
