Winterlicious is back again to spice up a dreary winter night! From the comfort of your home, Master Chef Mario Reyes of TRIO Community Meals leads you through a virtual three course cooking event with wine pairings and professional cooking tips.

Cooking Class and Tasting Event
New this year, Chef Mario is hosting an exclusive Cooking Class and Tasting at the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging Headquarters for a limited number of 35 guests on Thursday, February 9 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. This in-person event allows you to observe Chef Mario as he cooks four different courses for you. Participants receive recipes for all dishes served, tasting portions, wine pairings and the opportunity to engage with and ask Chef Mario cooking questions. Sponsors and attendees of the Cooking Class and Tasting will also receive registration for Friday’s virtual event.

RSVP today and support the Rose Centers for Aging Well! The minimum donation to participate is just $25. Ticket purchases of $50 and up will receive a measurement converter and a piping bag that you can use in Chef Mario's recipes. All ticket holders will receive a shopping list and recipe book so that you can prepare the meal alongside Chef Mario. A recording of the live event will be shared with you post-event.

All proceeds will benefit the work of the Rose Centers for Aging Well and support the work of our team to deliver more daily, nutritious meals to food-insecure older adults in Greater Cleveland.

Mario Reyes

Chef Mario Reyes began his culinary career in Toronto, Canada. He worked in many prestigious hotels, such as Four Seasons, Sutton Place and King Edward Hotel. He moved to the U.S., worked at the Westbury NY hotel, and opened Le Meridien Hotel in Dallas, Texas. After many years in the hotel industry, he joined Nestle North America and he worked with numerous chefs and food companies across the world in menu & product development and innovation. Chef Reyes is a certified Master Chef and he has competed and managed US culinary teams in international competitions in Sweden, Luxembourg, Bangkok, Ireland, and the Culinary Olympics in Germany. As Corporate Executive Chef for TRIO Community Meals, he leads and energizes the culinary innovation process through menu & recipe development to bring seniors the best variety and quality through nutritious meals.
