Margaret Wagner Apartments Renovations

Margaret Wagner Apartments have been serving low-income older adults in the Greater Cleveland area for the past 20 years, and a construction project that began on July 10 will increase its capacity to provide secure, affordable and supportive housing. The scope of the project includes the construction of 20 new one bedroom first floor units, new community spaces, updating the kitchens and bathrooms of the 60 existing units,  improved accessibility,

central air conditioning, elevator modernization, new roofing and other building system upgrades. The project will take at least 12 months to complete. To stay up to date on the project, please follow our construction updates below:

(12/5): The 3rd floor East wing renovation is complete with new paint, flooring, countertops, backsplashes, kitchen faucets and window blinds. New windows were installed on the 1st and Ground floors. Window A/C units were removed from the 4th and 5th floors so window re-glazing can be completed. Screens will be installed at a later time. Roof replacement is paused and will continue, weather permitting. Framing along with mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-ins continue on the 1st floor with plans to start hanging dry wall later this month.

(2/15): Renovation of the 3rd floor North wing units will be complete soon with new paint, flooring, countertops, backsplashes, kitchen faucets and window blinds.  Drywall has been hung on the 1st floor West wing and framing along with mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in work continues on the 1st floor East and North wings.  The roof replacement continues, weather permitting, and we are preparing to start modernization of the maintenance elevators later this month.
