Rose Centers for Aging Well Volunteer
The Rose Centers for Aging Well promote active aging for Northeast Ohio’s older adults by offering opportunities to learn, socialize with peers, create and volunteer.
If you are looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community, consider volunteering at one of our seven senior centers throughout Northeast Ohio. We’re looking for a variety of skills and interests to enrich the programming of our Rose Centers.
Opportunities
Ongoing Support
We have a variety of operational support opportunities that can include:
- Front desk attendant
- Kitchen assistant
- Bingo Caller
Exercise Instructor
This volunteer would lead an exercise class of their specialty to the older adults in a group setting. Certification is preferred, but not required.
Examples include:
- Yoga
- Tai Chi
- Jazzercise
- Zumba Gold
- Line Dancing
Art Instructor
This volunteer would plan, teach and assist with fun and unique crafts for a group of enthusiastic older adults. Activities can include:
- Painting
- Drawing
- Wreath making
- Jewelry making
- Pressed flowers
- Greeting cards
- Holiday crafts
Musical Entertainment
Do you play an instrument, sing, lead or are part of a band or choir? We are always looking for local entertainment!

- Choir
- Holiday Music
- Solo instrumentalist
Therapy Animal
Bring your certified therapy animal to visit our older adults! Therapy animals are great resources to help reduce stress and bring joy to older adults. Please note that pets must be certified.
Groups
We welcome organizations of all kinds that are looking to provide engaging educational workshops, activities, or other events.

The opportunities listed are available year-round and can be performed by individuals or in groups. Most centers are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at seven separate locations in the Cleveland area.
