Janet M. Schneider named Vice President of Human Resources of Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging

(Cleveland, OH) Janet M. Schneider has been named Vice President of Human Resources at Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. The appointment is effective October 14, 2019.

Before coming to Benjamin Rose, Schneider served as Vice President of Human Resources at the Neighborhood Family Practice in Cleveland. There, she identified organizational development needs and designed employee training, recruitment and retention programs. She also created policies and strategies to support all segments of the organization. Additionally, she served as the agency’s Corporate Compliance Officer.

Schneider began her career at the YMCA of Greater Cleveland in 2002 and served in four different roles. She quickly advanced from Business Operations Director of Childcare Services to the Executive Director of the program in 2003, overseeing daily operations of licensed child care programs at more than 20 centers in four separate counties. She then transitioned to a business development role before assuming her last position at the YMCA, as Director of Operations at Y-Haven. There she was instrumental in evaluating key performance metrics for compliance and fiscal operations.

Schneider earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from The University of Akron. She received her master’s degree in labor relations and human resources from Cleveland State University. She holds an organizational leader certification from the YMCA.
